Techlead API Management

innogy NL - NL, Den Bosch

Were probably not the only ones searching for an expert on digital innovations such as the Internet of Things, blockchain and AI; the difference here is that were looking for a candidate who wants to be part of the energy revolution. In fact, we need you so we can make this impact, because innogy, one of the largest energy companies in the Netherlands, can only grow with the help of an expert in the latest digital trends, and who has the will to innovate. Are you that person? Then apply now for the Techlead API Management vacancy in Den Bosch (The Netherlands) and Kontich (Belgium).

You make it possible
You’re energised by an innovative and dynamic environment. You can use this energy to shape our new core team in the Netherlands. However, that's not all. You will take on responsibility for integrating all the UaaS platform’s applications and functionalities, so we can offer our customers cloud-based UaaS, built on the best open-source packages. This also means we can work together on giving the energy sector a shake-up. As Techlead API Management, you’ll approach your job with a focus on cooperation, inspiration and assuming ownership when dealing with:

  • Taking the lead on integrating the various components in the UaaS platform, and defining integration strategies when on-boarding new customers
  • Analysing, designing, configuring, building and testing all the platform’s APIs
  • Coaching, challenging and supporting your employees so they can really bring out the best in themselves
  • Communicating with internal and external customers
  • Translating customer requirements into useful product functions. This involves you working with product owners, architects and developers.

For the first 4 months, you will work 2 days a week in Den Bosch, and 3 days a week in Kontich (near Antwerp). We’ll take care of the logistics, so you’ll have no concerns in that area. It makes things really easy.

Our technical landscape
Java, Webservices (Soap, REST), Frameworks (Spring, Springbatch, Hibernate,) PHP, JavaScript, Python, Drupal, SuiteCRM (formerly SugarCRM), jBilling, Odoo (formerly OpenERP), AngularJS, Ajax, Json, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Camel, Servicemix, ActiveMQ,  AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, DMS, Redshift, Aurora, etc.).

This is where it happens
You’ll strengthen the UaaS Core Team. The 5 members of this team are joining forces to place the platform on the market in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. So, what is the defining characteristic of the members of this team? Their ambition. Their will to innovate and do business shows that they’ve got the mindset needed for this new start-up within innogy IT.

Youve got it
There’s something special in you, and it enthuses others. The air sizzles when you talk about your ideas, and we find ourselves cheering you on before we even realise it. You assume ownership, seek out cooperation with colleagues, and let them inspire you. You know that there are practical hurdles to cross to make your dream a reality, but once you’ve got something in your head, there’s no holding you back.

Your other talents:

  • You have experience with various integration tools and API management, using both open-source software and licensed software
  • You enjoy ‘speaking’ different coding languages, such as Java, PHP and Python
  • You have practical knowledge of Enterprise Integration patterns and practices

We’re also looking for a special combination of competencies and capacities. For example, you have experience with the transition to native cloud, and you are familiar with the GDPR and Energy+.

What innogy can offer you
We’re an organisation that will give you lots of freedom to experiment, and where taking risks is rewarded with money, opportunities and personal growth. What you can you expect from us (based on 40 hours a week):

  • A job at a successful and leading European energy company that is always on the move. Standing still is not an option. Are you ready to jump on board?
  • A gross monthly salary between €3,854 and €6,327, precisely tailored to your level
  • An end-of-year bonus
  • 30 days leave
  • A bonus scheme of 10%, based on a full-time annual salary
  • A different way of working. Thanks to ‘@nders werken’ (working differently), you can work at the time and place that suits you, as you’ll have everything you need to do your work properly both at home and in the office.
  • Besides ‘@nders werken’, we do a whole lot of other things differently. At innogy, we are always looking to increase efficiency, and the House-in-Order LEAN methodology is integrated throughout the organisation.
  • An inspiring office environment in a prime location in Den Bosch. With Den Bosch station just 850 metres away, we highly recommend using public transport, especially if you use the NS Business Card we will give you. If you prefer to use your own car, we will pay a mileage allowance.

And last but not least, a wide range of development and career opportunities, because innogy never stands still, and neither should you.
