Strategic Initiative Lead (IT)

As Junior Strategic Initiative Lead you act as a central support for the IT strategic initiatives. You are responsible for organizing and supporting the IT leadership in their strategic initiatives. This includes alignment with various stakeholders in the Business Units and the internal IT organization. In support of the Manager CIO Office you will be responsible for the overall delivery updates. 

You’re Activities & Projects

  • You ensure activities get successfully executed by all stakeholders (business & IT).
  • Responsible and supportive to communicate with key stakeholders in both Business & IT.
  • Actively support the different worksteam leads (Architecture, Sourcing, Business Alignment) in achieving their milestones.
  • Responsible to plan, host & manage the different workshops, nudge challenge, IT Town halls, Hackathons or Techlab support. 
  • Responsible to translate decisions, workshop outcomes into the necessary documentation.
  • Support the creation of executable IT roadmaps based upon the Business, Architecture & Sourcing strategy.

Deliverables (to name a few)

  • Planning, tracking and tracing, weekly progress updates
  • Steering committee and workshop documentation
  • Roadmap documents

Our IT department ensures the digital transformation. Our focus is an effortless customer experience within our B2B and B2C labels, Essent and Energie Direct. We are speeding up our delivery process with short feedback loops, agile way of working, CI/ CD and by introducing SAFe. We are building a complete new architecture to transform to a full digital service, with a ‘loosely coupled’ front- & backend.

You’re added value

  • Completed WO education with excellent academic track record (business, engineering, informatics, etc)
  • Proven experience in leading activities with impact (projects, student committees, etc)
  • Between 0 and 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally acting in an advisory role 
  • Strong skills in analyzing and processing information and translating this into relevant and meaningful outcomes/presentations
  • Ability to act at and communicate with senior business and IT stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to Germany and the UK on an as-needed basis (Germany on average 1 day a week, UK on average 2 days p/month)
  • Fluency in the English and Dutch language is a must
  • Pro-active, result focused, strong communicator, ambitious, enthusiastic
